Top 8: Nut Butter Edition (I go nuts for these)

BUTTER.

I'm pretty particular about which nut butters I like best. Basically, less is more. I never choose any that have any kind canola, soybean or any kind of vegetable oil added. When I don't have time to make my own, these are my favorite nut butters.

1. Sprouted Almond Butter

Why this is great: This is my all time favorite butter. I don't eat meat so my diet contains a lot of nuts, I find if I eat too much raw food (high in nuts) I feel sick. This sprouted almond butter is so much easier to digest and doesn't make me feel sick because the almonds are soaked in water for 24 hours, which causes them to germinate. After they are soaked they are dried with low humidity which destroys the enzymes giving them more nutritional value. All the benefits of almonds but is more mild to the body.

2. Nutzo Power Fuel

-Best with banana on sprouted toast

3. Aritisian Raw Coconut Butter

-Best in my Bulletproof Matcha (recipe coming soon)

4. Justins Vanilla almond butter

-Best in oatmeal, with banana, etc

5. Trader Joes raw unsalted smooth almond butter

-Best with Mary's superseed crackers

6. Wilderness Poets Pistachio Butter

-Best in cookie dough or with goat cheese on a cracker

7. JEM Raw Organic Cinnamon Red Maca

-Best in acai bowls with granola (a little goes a long way)

8. PEANUT FREE PB:

MaraNatha All Natural Sunflower Seed Butter

-I grew up with two of the closest people to me with a severe peanut allergy, I think that's why I can't get enough of it now. But when I go home for the holidays this is what I reach for. I substitute this for all of my PB/Almond butter needs.
