Multi-Use Products

During the week, I focus my time with my baby nephew. I keep my products at a minimum and focus on self-care during the week. I don't want toxic beauty products or fragrance to be around him at all so unscented balm is about as far as my 'beauty' products go during the week. Of course weekends are filled with hair products, makeup, nail polish, my signature scent, etc. But since I started spending more time with the baby my attitude towards minamilism and a bazillion products around at all times has definately changed. Whether you are super low-maintenence, or product obsessed, or both (like me) switching back and forth depeneding on the time of the week I think we can all benefit from using one product for more than one thing. For traveling alone, this is a life-saver and sometimes, essential.

MULTI-USE ESSENTIALS I'VE BEEN LOVING:

Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap - Lavender - $10

I love the lavender Dr. Bronners. This is obviously on the list because with caster soap you can use it for literally anything, like washing your hair, brushing your teeth kind of everything!! I use it for bubble baths, body wash, and I make foamy hand soap using it. I especially love this because they have travel sized containers.

Nars 'The Multiple' in South Beach $39

Perfect staple for your weekend makeup bag. I use it on the apples of my cheeks as a highlighter, lips, and even sometimes on my eyelids during the summer. It has a really pretty sheen.

Baby Shampoo $3

I use this about once a week because it gets rid of any buildup you may get throughout the week from hair products, or even shampoos. I also use it mixed with tea tree oil for washing my makeup brushes.

Dr. Bronners Organic Magic Balm $8

This is my all time favorite product right now. It replaced my glossier balm dot com. I keep one on my nightstand and use it on my hands and feet before bed and also I've been liking to use it under my eyes instead of my Ole Henrickson Fresh eye cream. I use the baby unscented because I've been more conscious towards the chemicals I put in and on my body. Balm is amazing because it doesnt just end there, you can use it for your cuticles, lips, or even as an eyebrow gel.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum, Ultra Black $10

I had to include this because I'm so in love with this I cant see myself ever changing to another liquid eyeliner. This is an eyeliner that is mixed with a serum that helps eyelash growth (like Latisse). When you use it consistently I've found that my eyelashes flutter out further than they ever have and hold a natural curl without using an eyelash curler. Just make sure you get the ultra-black, the regular black doesn't go on as smoothly or as pigmented.
